The Station Fire Threatens Power Transmission Lines While Temperatures and Energy Demand Remain High
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) asks all customers to conserve as much energy as possible today as the Station Fire rages in the Angeles National Forest and high temperatures continue to increase energy demand from customers.

Conservation Measures for Lawn Watering in Effect June 1
Starting June 1, DWP water conservation measures go into effect restricting lawn watering with automatic sprinklers to Mondays and Thursdays. Watering must be done before 9am or after 4pm. Rotator-type or gear-driven sprinklers may not be on for more that 15 minutes per day, or not more than 10 minutes for other (i.e., non-rotation type) sprinklers.
Violations are subject to fines.

The City’s Ethics Commission is apparently looking at financial disclosure for neighborhood councils through a different prism. On Tuesday, they will consider … and sources say, likely approve … a recommendation from Ethic’s Policy and Legislation Director Heather Holt, to reject Councilman Smith’s amending motion requiring neighborhood councils board members who want to participate in creating city council files … to also file financial disclosure Form 700s. |
