Committees

All Committees of the BABCNC conduct periodic open meetings. The public is always welcome to attend.

Agenda Setting Committee

Chair: Robert A. Ringler

The Agenda Setting Committee is comprised of the Officers of the BABCNC and the chair(s) of each Standing and Ad Hoc Committee. The Committee meets on the third Wednesday of each month to set the BABCNC meeting agenda, and at times is required to meet in special or urgent circumstances.

Traffic Committee

Chair: Robert A. Ringler

The Traffic Committee considers issues pertaining to traffic, including the flow of traffic, safety, enforcement, congestion, parking, traffic lights and related street signs within the territorial boundaries of BABCNC.  The Traffic Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the West Los Angeles Police Station, 1663 Butler Avenue.

Planning and Land Use Committee

Co-Chairs: Carolyn Carradine and Carol Sidlow

The Planning and Land Use Committee considers all issues pertaining to hillside and land development, including construction, demolition, grading, zoning, permits and cell phone towers.  This Committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, prior to the BABCNC general meeting, at the Community Magnet School, 11301 Bellagio Road.

Public Safety/Disaster Preparedness Committee

Chair:  Chuck Maginnis

The Public Safety/Disaster Preparedness Committee considers all issues pertaining to the police and fire departments, as well as educating area residents as to how to proceed in the event of an emergency or catastrophicevent, or if there is need for emergency medical services.

Public Works and Telecommunications Committee

The Public Works and Telecommunications Committee considers issues pertaining to water, gas, electric and sewage lines; telecommunication infrastructure; and public rights-of-way and easements.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee considers issues pertaining to all BABCNC general business and financial matters, as well as the distribution and allocation of BABCNC funds.  This Committee meets on the third Friday of each month.

Outreach and Education Committee

Chair: Robin Greenberg

The Outreach and Education Committee considers all issues pertaining to outreach to our communities, educational institutions and faith based organizations, including interactive events, newsletters and other correspondences, and this BABCNC website. Meetings are generally on the second Wednesday of each month at the BABCNC office

Bylaws and Rules Committee

Chair: Larry Leisten

The Bylaws Committee considers issues pertaining to the continual study,interpretation, guidance and presentation of proposed changes to the Bylaws and rules of the BABCNC.  All recommendations of this Committee are subsequently voted on by the full BABCNC board.  Meetings are on the third Thursday of each month at the BABCNC office.
