ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SERVING ON THE NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL?

Members of The Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council are active in their communities, are considered employees without payment of the City of Los Angeles, and consider their work in the Neighborhood Council as a part of their public community service.

People, who live, work or own property in a community join the Neighborhood Council in one of three ways:

  1. They are elected by the Community in pubic elections, widely publicized, supervised by the City of Los Angeles.

  1. They are appointed by Residential Stakeholder Groups. If you live in a community in the Bel Air-Beverly Crest area, there is likely to be a stakeholder group already representing you.

  1. The Neighborhood Council Charter mandates the Board to select four seats to represent specific            interests that are non-residential. Such appointments are voted upon by the entire Board, based on candidate’s qualifications to meet the specific requirements of each seat.

  1. Custodians of Open Space
  2. Private Schools K-6
  3. Private Schools 7-12
  4. Faith-based Institutions

If you have the qualification to serve in any of the above 4 seats, let the Neighborhood Council Elections Committee know of your interest in serving, your resume, curriculum vitae or narrative of your professional experience in the area in which you are interested. The submission deadline for this year is July 10.

If you interested and feel qualified to serve on one of the above 4 seats, please fill out this form and sent it to us:
