Be Prepared! Emergency Preparedness Event Sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Horvath October 5th at the Skirball Center

Dear Friends and Stakeholders of the BABCNC,

Supervisor Lindsey Horvath (3rd Supervisorial District) is hosting an Emergency Preparedness event to take place on October 5, 2024 at the Skirball Center.  This event has been planned with the support of Los Angeles City Council District 5 Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky and District 11 Councilmember Traci Park, as well as California's Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur (51st Assembly District) prior to this morning's 4.7 magnitude earthquake in LA County!  Please check this out, RSVP below, and join us all there!

The Supervisor is inviting us all to "Get Ready, Stay Ready!" Emergency Preparedness Event on October 5th at the Skirball Center. This is a fantastic opportunity for you and your family to learn vital information about emergency preparedness and ensure you're ready for any situation.

  • Time: 9am – 1pm
  • Location: Skirball Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd Los Angeles CA 90019

 
What to Expect:

  • Free Onsite Parking for all attendees.
  • Complimentary Breakfast to start your day.
  • Resources and Information from key agencies including LA County Emergency Management, LA City Emergency Management Department, and the California State Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara’s office.
  • Over 20 Agencies and Groups tabling with valuable insights and materials.
  • Car Seat Safety Checks with the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
  • Informative Presentations on topics such as home hardening, emergency planning, wildfires, and earthquakes.
